24-HOUR HACKATHON
Sri Lanka is facing its worst economic crisis in more than 100 years. Soaring inflation and a rapidly-depreciating local currency mean that the country can no longer afford basic goods. A lack of foreign money has led to power cuts that last 10 or more hours every day. Food shortages are causing hours-long lines at grocery stores as political unrest is mounting.

Meara Founded Code for the Globe to democratize data and empower individuals all over the world. She had a passion for data-driven change, and getting things done.

      Rafa Acosta is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in mobile apps, webs and servers. He loves nature, hiking, and climbing. A fast learner, Rafa is quick to share knowledge or to lend a hand.

        Head of communications

        Graham Erwin, Ph.D., is a Stanford Cancer Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University. He is a molecular, chemical, and genome biologist. Graham is a co-inventor of synthetic transcription factors, which formed the basis of Design Therapeutics.
